In reply to yours of the 6th instant I have to inform you that the records of this office show the following seizures to have been made on the steamers TAMING and TEAN, for which vessels your firm is the local agent, during the period December 10, 1909, to July 19, 1912:

April 12, 1910.- 252.100 kilos opium seized in cargo ex s/s TAMING, July 7, 1910 - Tiu Coco sentenced to pay a fine of $1,800.00 and costs. Fine paid. Case against Lamberto Ver dismissed he being used as State's evidence. July 17, 1910 Estanislao Ortega sentenced to four months imprisonment and to pay a fine of $300.00 and costs. Fine paid.

May 18, 1911 Estanislao Ortega sentenced to two years imprisonment and to pay a fine of $500.00 and costs for accepting bribes in connection with the same case.

June 3, 1910.- Ah Kung arrested aboard the TAMING with 466 grams opium in his possession. June 7, 1910 - Sentenced to imprisonment for three months and to pay the costs.

June 28, 1910.- Tan Eng Sam alias Tan Shoe Roe, and Ang Lim Check arrested with 32.200 kilos opium in their possession ex s/s TAMING in cargo, July 8, 1910 Sentenced to pay a fine of $560.00 and costs each. Fine paid.

No arrests.

August 9, 1910.- Seized aboard the TAMING 5.250 kilos opium. September 3, 1910.- 3.125 kilos opium seized in possession of Francisco Geralta and Ali Muhamat aboard the TAMING. Compromised same date for $400.00 each which was paid.

October 10, 1910.- 2.110 kilos opium seized in possession of Manuel Montinola on board the TAMING, October 12, 1910 - Sentenced to pay a fine of $300.00 and costs. Fine paid.

July 7, 1912.- 1,110 kilos opium found concealed in baggage of Quan Pack Chun, incoming passenger on TAMING, August 7, 1911. Sentenced to pay a fine of $1,000.00.

November 24, 1911.- Fred C. Brohes brought 243.200 kilos opium and 1 tin morphine in baggage on TAMING. December 29, 1911 - Dy Yjo Jonquin Lorenzo sentenced to six months imprisonment and to pay a fine of $200.00. February 15, 1912 - In this case the defendants' sentence changed to a fine of $500, which was paid. Offered to compromise and pay $8,000.00 in settlement of the matter but believing a jail sentence would be secured the offer was refused.

January 9, 1912. - 11.200 kilos opium seized aboard the TAMING. Owner unknown. January 11, 1912.- 33.200 kilos opium and 5.500 kilos morphine seized, thrown from TAMING on to casco L.H. 296 and then into water. March 7, 1912.- Mamerto Case Basilio sentenced to eight months imprisonment and to pay a $500.00 fine. Case against Agustin Iagtanong dismissed.

December 10, 1909, 738 grams opium found in possession of Ah Tac aboard the TEAN. January 7, 1910 - Sentenced to three months imprisonment and to pay the costs.

May 14, 1910.- 1.380 kilos opium seized aboard the TEAN. May 17, 1910 Mariano Xua sentenced to three months imprisonment and to pay the costs.
